There are two new prize winners in the regional Business Retention and Expansion (BR+E) survey project. Event tickets donated by Casino Rama are going to Sandra Fecht, of Sandra Fecht Consulting in Oro-Medonte Township, and Mark Downing, of Fern Resort in Ramara Township.

“This survey is an opportunity for business owners and managers to tell us how they feel about doing business in our community,” said Wendy Timpano, General Manager of the Orillia Area Community Development Corporation (CDC). “The results will provide valuable feedback to our local municipal partners and business support organizations.”

The BR+E survey is a joint project, led by the CDC and involving the City of Orillia, the townships of Ramara, Oro-Medonte and Severn, Rama First Nation, and the County of Simcoe. The project also receives funding and technical support from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

Survey results will be rolled out for local councils and the public at the end of the project.

Those who own or operate a business in Orillia or the surrounding townships could still qualify for more prizes including tickets to the Eli Young Band and Paul Zerdin live. Businesses that completed a survey earlier in the project will also be eligible for these draws.

The next deadline is Friday, end of day. Contact Gary Staines, BR+E co-ordinator, at 705-325-4903, ext. 114, or [email protected] for more information.
