“The Pathways to Employment program has served as a wonderful opportunity for me. Recently graduating from the University of Guelph, I was unsure what my next steps would be – something almost every graduate struggles with. I was grateful to work alongside the CDC team to find a job that would suit my skills and allow me to grow.

Working at Lakehead University these past six months has been a huge learning experience. I worked with people from all walks of life and areas of our community, developing and fostering professional relationships, while coordinating community programs that fit Orillia’s needs. The Office of Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning at Lakehead University is such an asset to the Orillia community. Being part of this team for the past six months has taught me important lessons that I will bring with me in my future endeavors.

I would more than recommend participating in this program with the CDC, as it provides you with the support and guidance that can help when starting a new job. Katie and the CDC team work very hard to provide mentorship, job training, and other benefits that have made this experience such a positive one. Thank you, CDC, for having such an incredible program available to local youth!”
