Calling all tourism businesses! Do you manage the day-to-day online marketing operations for your organization? Then you won’t want to miss this! 

Regional Tourism Organization 7Ontario’s Lake Country, CDC and Casino Rama have partnered together to bring you a full day of workshops and information sessions that will help you understand your online business. The end results will help you to attract more visitors & customers by utilizing various digital marketing tools! Both workshops will be presented in the Casino Rama Anishnaabe Ballroom by Frederic Gonzalo, who has over 20 years of experience in the travel and tourism sphere.

The morning session will be hands on, and has limited space in order to provide a more intimate learning experience. Please bring your laptops so you can access your Google Analytics account. If you don’t have one set up, please make sure to do so before attending the workshop.

The afternoon session will have significant space and a wealth of information, which will be followed by an in-depth Q&A.

Having a website is one thing, understanding what works and what doesn’t is another. In this half-day workshop session, we will take a closer look at how Google Tools can help you understand and improve the digital performance for your web and social media presence, and bring your business to the next level. We will cover:

  • Google Analytics: How it works, what key performance indicators really mean & how to interpret the data
  • How to set-up dashboards and performance reports
  • Google AdWords, Google Keyword Planner, Google Search Console… and other free tools to help you make sense of it all!!

**Laptop & access to your Google Analytics account are mandatory

But with content overload affecting many aspects of even the most dynamic marketing approaches, savvy brands now rely more and more on advertising to increase reach and engagement, and overall campaign results. In this 90 minute session, we will cover:

  • State of social media in travel in 2016
  • Key social platforms for travel brands, with practical examples for do’s (and don’ts)
  • Facebook ads: where you need to focus and why
  • Social advertising best practices for Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
