Registration now open for the Orillia & Lake Country Business Expo
For immediate release (June 24, 2015) – Registration is now open for the fifth annual Orillia & Lake Country Business Expo, taking place in the Casino Rama Ballrooms on Oct. 22, 2015.
“This event has grown to become a tremendous success over the past five years,” said Ken Forbes, Chair of the Expo Organizing Committee. “Last year exhibitor space sold out early and we filled the venue with more than a hundred local businesses; we expect to do so again this year.”
The event is a collaboration of organizations supporting local business. Organizers include representatives from the Business Enterprise Resource Network, Orillia Area CDC, Orillia District Chamber of Commerce, City of Orillia Economic Development Office, Orillia Trim and Door, Township of Oro-Medonte, and the Oro- Medonte Chamber of Commerce, with the support of a number of other local organizations.
While the show remains one of the largest trade shows held at Casino Rama, space is limited. Vendor booths vary in size and cost, ranging from $150 for a table-top space to $250 for a large corner booth. Exhibitors must have a business location within the Townships of Severn, Ramara, Oro-Medonte, Chippewa’s of Rama First Nation, and/or the City of Orillia to be eligible to participate. To accommodate new businesses, shared booth registration is accepted.
“Not only is this a fun event for shoppers, it’s also a great networking opportunity for new entrepreneurs and small businesses,” said Laura Thompson, Economic Development Officer for the City of Orillia. “The show offers a lot of visibility for local businesses, but is extremely affordable thanks to the collaboration of the business community.”
The event would not be possible without the support of a number of sponsors, including Casino Rama Cares and the local Scotiabank branch, who will again host the Red Room Exhibitor Lounge this year. A limited number of sponsorships are still available until June 30, 2015.
