Measures to be implemented by businesses and organizations

On September 1, 2021, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) issued a letter from Charles Gardner, MD, CCFP, MHSc, FRCPC
Medical Officer of Health, outlining new COVID-19 safety measures, which have been in effect since September 6, 2021. They are intended to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 where the collective efforts of various sectors, including workplaces are required to protect our communities.

These measures cover:

COVID-19 safety plan
Remote work
Active screening
Contact information retrieval 
Appropriate PPE
Physical distancing
Hand hygiene
Infection prevention and control measures
Driving associated with work
Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
Legislated requirements
