Dan joined the corporation in 2021 as an experienced business operator, and community economic developer, with strong marketing & communications skills and a passion for business development.
In his 12-year role as Manager of the Economic/Business Development Department with the City of Orillia, Dan was involved in several strategic community initiatives and worked closely with local businesses and sectors in the community. Prior to this, he owned and operated an innovative marketing and communications company for 10 years, following a 20-year career as an accomplished reporter, photographer, and editor with news organizations at the local, provincial, and national levels.
