One Main Street at a Time

The Ramara Chamber of Commerce is spearheading a Brechin downtown revitalization campaign called Brechin and Beyond see photo the help of the Orillia Area Community Develoment Corporation and a wide variety of community partners. Residents, business owners and elected municipal leaders packed the newly built Ramara Township offices this past Monday to hear a presentation on the Ultimate Main Street Program, delivered by Cara Finn, the General Manager of The Community Futures Develoment Corporation of Middlesex County see photo. The former Deputy Manager of Main Street London, she received her certification in Downtown Revitalization through the National Trust for Historic Preservation in Washington, DC in 2005.
Later in the day, Ms. Finn delivered her presentation to the Coldwater Business Improvement Association, prior to their AGM and then left for Ottawa to discuss a National Ultimate Main Street Program. The Orillia Area Community Development Corporation supports the development of sustainable communities through community economic development and small business activities.
