Organization – Community Development Corp. (CDC)

The Community Development Corporation (CDC) is a private, non-profit organization.
It is a member of the Ontario Association of Community Development Corporations Inc.
There are 61 federal Community Futures Development Corporations across Ontario. There are 269 offices across Canada funded through Industry Canada.

Since we began in 1984:
- We have served over 32,500 business clients, providing information, consulting and advice, and financing.
- We have invested over $13.4 million in our community.
- We have helped create or maintain more than 1,900 jobs here in business sectors such as:
- Building Trades
- Agriculture
- Hospitality
- Retail
- Services
- Tourism
- Transportation

CDC Awards
• Our commitment to developing strategic partnerships within the community was recognized by the Orillia & District Chamber of Commerce at their 1998 awards presentations where we received “Hats – Off” status.
• We received a third place award in 2001 from the provincial association of Community Futures Development Corporations (OACFDC) – Outstanding CFDC.
